Photography

The word “photography” is Greek, and means writing – or painting – with light.
I have been an active photographer since my early teens in the 1970’s, and learnt darkroom technique by a neighbour who was working as a technical consultant at Kodak – he had a darkroom in his garage. Yes, I spent some time there.
Photography has always been an important part of my work, but also an artistic passion, a result of my love for making pictures. I have never worked fulltime as a professional photographer, but I get assignments once in a while, and I also add my photography to my graphic work.
I present several galleries for my photos here, divided in different categories, subcategories and separate albums. Everything from portraits to nudes, cars, food, environments in town and country. All kinds of pictures. Have a look. Actually, have more than one look. I think you will appreciate it.

People
There is nothing more fascinating to take a photo of than people. Singular, couples, groups, portraits, action, on stage, with or without clothes, erotica – it’s all very interesting, and challenging. By far my favourite motifs.

Places
Wherever I go around the world, I bring my camera. India, Great Britain, France, USA, Brazil, Turkey, Spain, Norway – and many more. I also take a lot of pictures in my hometown Stockholm, and other parts of Sweden.

Cars
All my life, I have been fascinated by cars, as objects of beauty, freedom, history, and from an artistic point of view. I always made drawings and paintings of cars, and photos – all very related to each other. Many of my car paintings are made from my own photos as inspiration.

Food & Drink
Eating and drinking are two of our most important means of survival – but our meals are also sources of pleasure, and often social events. So I can’t avoid sometimes making pictures of food & drink.

Advanced editing
I love to play, so I make a lot of weird edits of photos – very short cars, weird colouring, many of the same person in one picture – and other stuff. I’m not a news photographer, not a purist. I’m an artist. I prioritize the emotional impact of my pictures, rather than documentary truth.
